Fay

“Come on guys! I want to try something else now!” I exclaim, getting a little restless at having done some of the same small tricks over and over.

Having taken me to a large open cavern that looks suspiciously like the one I was in when I first awoke into this world between worlds, sans birdcage, the guys have been trying to help me figure out my powers for the past hour or more. They've been a lot of help, minus Cassius laughing at me, and I have been able to do a few tricks of magic, but it's only been small things so far, and I'm getting a little bored.

“Just do one more flower for me, and then we can work on something else," Thane coaxes me. He has been so gentle and sweet to me, congratulating me when I achieve something and encouraging me even when I fail. They all stand in front of me watching, waiting to see what I create next.

So far I have covered the cavern floor with a plush green grass that tickles between my toes, grown rose bushes and a willow tree, and where the dirt walls were already covered with vines, they are now full of color, dotted with a multitude of flowers and low-hanging branches that spread between the stalactites.

I nod at Thane. "Okay, just one more, but the next thing you teach me has to be something really cool." I have too much power buzzing inside me to only be able to make plants grow. Oh, and burn ex boyfriends until they're nothing but a pile of ash. Can't forget that one.

Concentrating on what kind of flower I want to grow next, I scrunch a furrow between my brows, which Cassius finds hilarious. Glaring at him, I get an idea, and in the next second, I have a large and leafy vine lowering from the ceiling behind him. Silently looping it around his ankle like a snake, I yank it up hard, pulling his legs out from beneath him and suspending him in the air above me. His smiling face dangles and bounces upside down a foot in front of me, and I give him a wicked smile back, happy with my revenge. Bob, who joined us when we started practicing, starts laughing wildly at his owner. Clapping his hands, he then jumps up and grabs Cassius' legs, climbing them until he reaches the vine, making it swing and bounce faster as he goes.

“You’re so going to pay for this.” Cassius is no longer laughing, but his brothers and I are. He reaches up to grab the loop at his ankle, bending his chiseled abs, and I laugh harder when Bob slaps his hand away, having too much fun swinging him back and forth.

Walking a step forward, I grab onto Cassius’ arms when he falls back down to stop him from swaying, and I look him straight in his eyes. “Bring it.” I’m not afraid of him, not that I would really mind his form of punishment.
